Adopt-A-School

Children experiencing food insecurity are particularly vulnerable during non-school hours when they may not have access to nutritious meals. Each Friday throughout the school year, and prior to any school breaks, every student at a school support by an Adopt-A-School funder will receive one free weekend meal box, which contains two breakfasts and three lunch/dinner ready-to-eat meals. The CHA weekend meal boxes provide much needed food for your students.

Children’s Hunger Alliance and Adopt-A-School funder support your school by:
· Purchasing the breakfast and lunch/dinner items for the weekend meal boxes.
· Assembling the meal boxes for each student.
· Delivering the meal boxes to your school.

The school is responsible for:
· Receiving and storing the meal packs.
· Weekly distribution of meal packs to each elementary student.
· Participate in periodic feedback and evaluation of the program.
