Working together to FEED MORE KIDS!

Supporting our critical work through financial gifts and volunteerism provides CHA the resources we need to feed hungry children.

The events of the past years have certainly been unprecedented and have caused economic difficulties for many Ohio families. The number of food-insecure children has increased approximately 40%. Volunteers play a critical role in helping us address that food insecurity.

All volunteer opportunities at CHA are managed though POINTapp.org.
POINT, is a mobile app available from AppStore or Google Play, which makes it easy for volunteers to create a profile, view and sign up for opportunities, and track their volunteer impact. We welcome individual volunteers and groups of all ages with younger volunteers participating alongside a parent/guardian.

Below are just some of the ways individuals and groups can help us feed children:

  • MEAL ASSEMBLY

Our Columbus, Ohio warehouse/distribution center is a busy hub of operations. Volunteer opportunities are available for individuals and groups to assist in assembling meal boxes, which are then distributed at meal sites across the state. Check out our latest opportunities at POINTapp.org.

  • SPECIAL EVENT VOLUNTEERS

CHA holds fundraisers statewide each year. We have opportunities for individuals or small groups to assist at these events. More information about these types of opportunities will be available on the CHA’s Page at POINTapp.org closer to the actual event date.

We provide the cause and your team provides the labor! An excellent team building activity!

Arrive at the CHA Warehouse and break into small groups. Volunteers will package shelf-stable Weekend Meal components into convenient grab-and-go boxes or bags. Once completed, these meals are distributed around the state to feed hungry kids on the weekend.
