Event’s 20th anniversary will raise funds to fight childhood hunger

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Children’s Hunger Alliance (CHA) is thrilled to mark the 20th anniversary of our signature, late-summer fundraiser, Taste to Remember, from 6-10 p.m. on Aug. 20 in Dublin, Ohio. The event celebrates our local and statewide partnerships, with every dollar raised going toward nutritious meals for the Central Ohio children who need them most.

Over 22 percent of children in Franklin County — and over 500,000 kids across Ohio — are living with food insecurity, meaning they don’t have access to enough food to thrive.

Guests will enjoy delicious tastings from top local chefs and restaurants while learning how they can join CHA’s efforts to provide healthy meals and nutrition education to food-insecure children. CHA President & CEO Michelle M. Brown and special guest State Sen. Michele Reynolds (R-Canal Winchester) will talk about the importance of kids having consistent access to food and discuss the state food literacy standards currently under consideration in the Ohio Legislature.

Taste to Remember 2026 will feature a “Casino Royale” theme, complete with gaming tables, and will include live and silent auctions and a bourbon pull. The event emcee will be Mike McCarthy, anchor with ABC6-WSYX. Food will be provided by top local chefs and restaurants, including Cameron Mitchell Premiere Events, The Refectory Restaurant, VASO, and more.

Major sponsors include Grange Insurance, Hexion, Liberty Mutual Insurance, The Champion Companies, GBQ Partners, and Kontogiannis Companies. Last year’s event raised over $190,000.
