Annual Columbus fundraising event showcases local partnerships
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Central Ohio supporters of Children’s Hunger Alliance (CHA) showed up strong for a memorable evening of fun, flavor, and impact at Taste to Remember 2025 on Aug. 21 in Dublin. The annual event raised $190,000 to help fight childhood hunger, which affects 22 percent of kids in Franklin County and 1 in 5 children across the state.
The evening highlighted the vital role community partnerships play in ensuring children get the food they need to thrive. During the main program, CHA President and CEO Michelle M. Brown spoke with Ohio Avenue Elementary Principal Anthony Williams about the effect proper nutrition has on his students’ success and the value of CHA’s work in the community. CHA had a record impact in 2024, serving nearly 11 million meals to over 161,000 children across Ohio, providing them with nutritious meals and food education right where they are, every day of the year.
Throughout the night, guests were treated to delicious food prepared by top local chefs and restaurants, including American Culinary Federation – Columbus, Cameron Mitchell Premiere Events, Hofbräuhaus Columbus, The Refectory, Zink Foodservice, and Peace, Love and Little Doughnuts of Worthington, among others. Along with the tastings, attendees enjoyed drinks, bid on exciting items in the live and silent auctions, and participated in a bourbon pull, all to benefit hungry children in Ohio.
Taste to Remember 2025’s major sponsors included Grange; Hexion; BMW Group Financial Services; Champion Companies; CAS, a division of the American Chemical Society; Crowe LLP; Erie Insurance; GBQ; Janice Innis-Thompson and Stephen Lawrence; Premier ProduceOne; Quantum Health; US Bank; Welch Packaging; and Werth.
Kierstin Lindkvist, Reporter for ABC6-WSYX, emceed the event, which also featured live music courtesy of a jazz trio made up of students from The Ohio State University School of Music.
