The summer months are one of the hungriest times of the year for children. Summer break increases food insecurity and can lead to learning loss in low-income children. Summer nutrition programs serve as a bridge to fill the meal gap that so many children face each year.
This past school year CHA piloted an Adopt-A-School program with Moler Elementary, a school within the Columbus City Schools district, and it was met with great success.
