Cook with a Book
A wonderful
way of blending the Feeding of hungry minds and bodies® is the Cook with a Book program.
Taught by AmeriCorps members and community volunteers,
Cook with a Book makes books "come alive." Children read a book and prepare a snack that ties
in with the book they have read. This single-lesson program is frequently facilitated by volunteers wishing to
work with children.
