Children's Hunger Alliance is the statewide nonprofit organization committed to breaking the cycle of childhood hunger in Ohio.
The Problem
Approximately 500,000 children in Ohio are currently hungry or at-risk of hunger. Studies show that hungry children:
• Have more health problems.
• Exhibit more disruptive behavior.
• Are more likely to be tardy or absent from school.
• Score lower on achievement tests.
Our Solution
The resources exist to ensure every Ohio child receives nutritious meals and snacks throughout each day. Children's Hunger Alliance is a statewide agency that works with schools, child care providers, faith-based and youth-serving organizations to help them access resources to feed children. The agency also provides physical fitness programs and nutrition education to teach healthy habits for life.
